Once, I enjoyed cocaine and alcohol. I reasoned: Cocaine comes from a plant. So THAT'S OK. And alcohol? Well, everybody does that! Besides, I'm 100% vegan. And that alone will counteract any ill effects from all this 'partying.' Not so, I found. I learned a lesson - the hard way. I'm glad to be 100% sober now. Life's better. I wake up earlier. My workouts are FAR more productive.
What's more: I don't 'live in my head' anymore. The only thing I miss about my former, so-called partying life? Well, that would be some of the friends I made while living it. Some of whom were actually quite intelligent. Others who were VERY well read - despite a lack of formal education. Still others, who were reasonably fit, 100% plant-eaters.
Who had simply grown weary of a world 'gone mad.'
When they finally gave up their poor, addictive habits - and embraced good, beneficial ones? As I did: Unleashed some TRUE potential. And, by the way: Some of whom I STILL say, were about a hundred times sharper (perhaps even wiser) than your average, burger-eating, TV-watching, soda-drinking, oft-sedentary superstore shopper.
Who is often quick to judge another man's addictive behavior. When he himself may be the 'greater' addict of the two. It all goes to show you, I suppose: Gaze into mirror before evaluating another. Do what you can to unleash YOUR inherent potential. Try NOT to categorize your fellow man (not without damn good reason, anyway). And, of course: Don't judge a drug addict...
Before you get to know him.
P.S. Want to get into the BEST shape of your life - AND dump life-draining addictions in the process? Then I say: Who better to learn from than a man who was a 'hard-core' addict? Yet: Who at middle-age quit his toxic, bad habits - and built the fit, healthy body of his dreams! That's me, by the way. Read all about it in my book, CONFESSIONS OF A SUPER-FIT VEGAN. In which you'll discover EXACTLY how to dump ANY addiction. Eat all you want. But burn fat 'like mad.' Plus, get super-fit - without gyms, gadgets or gurus.'Yep: Once, I was in truly bad shape.
